Grinder Pump
Depending on the tepography of your land and the county designated septic location you will have to use one of the two types of systems available.
If your drain field is located down hill or level with the foundation of your home you can use a gravity fed system. Gravity fed systems are the cheaper of the two options.
On the other hand, if your septic site is located up hill from your foundation you will need to use a grinder pump system to push the waste up to your drain field.

Installation of Septic
After the septic pit and drain field have been dug. The next step is to properly set the septic tank at the appropriate depth and run the main leach line to the leach field at the appropriate dagree of decline. Once this step is completed, the drain field pipes can be tied into the main leach line coming from the septic tank. After all necessary connections are made, the county inspector will be called out to pass the septic tank and leach field connections. After the main septic system has passed inspection it can then be covered back up with dirt. The final process intails the state inspector being called out to verify that the connections from the house to the septic tank were done correctly and at that point he will sign off on the inspection, completing the process.
